Path through the Dandenongs

Went over to visit my Godmother's son in Ashburton today and he took us up to the Dandenong hills -a lovely forested area -but very busy on a beautiful bank holiday. We saw a pair of lyre birds in the bush which was very exciting and went Kangaroo spotting but they were obviously sleepy in the heat as there were none to be found. Had photos of Roselas and Cockatoos but decided on a landscape today.

This was a short walk we took down to a small waterfall. On the way home the weather broke and we had a real thunderstorm.
