The wingpiglet was nice and well-behaved on the slightly lengthy journey through, caused by tailbacks resulting from general holiday traffic leaving the city along Gorgie Road, a three-car altercation on the westbound exit of Harthill and some random congestion somewhere in Glasgow. I was driving to ensure that we stayed safely beneath any posted speed limits but even if someone else had been driving the delays ensured that the eventual total journey duration would have been very similar. I forgot to reset the fuel-counting thingby until we were a mile away from my work but forty-six miles per gallon seems quite good for a trip involving mostly crawling or motorway. I'd turned off the radiator in our room as soon as we arrived and shifted the cot across to the opposite side of the room so that it wasn't right next to the wall, on the other side of which is the bathroom, in which three cousin-childs were due to be bathed sometime after he was put to bed. Something was still not quite right, resulting in a bit of wailing a wee while after we put him down.
