Good Friday Rivington Pike Hike

My life is nothing if not routine. The weather wasn't as good as last year. We set out about 8.30am, it was drizzly, grey and overcast. The cloud just lifted slightly before we were about to descend from the top of the Pike. They don't look happy here but they were fine. They all walked up without stopping or moaning. They have strong legs with all the trampolining they do.

The stalls on the bottom road of the Pike had just started opening so Jed had a go on a hammer thing where you get a prize if you ring the bell. I think he hit it that hard that he almost broke the thing! He got a tiny glider plane for his effort. Lewis wanted chips (at that time of the morning!) and Rowan opted for a bag of candy floss!

The best thing about going up the Pike is that, on the way down, you get to greet everyone still on their way up!!

A couple of back blips from here.
