Glaz Ball

I saw an interesting close-up of someone's eye taken with macro lens, HD camera, tripod and natural lighting and wondered if I could recreate that shot of my own glaz-ball using free hand, a mirror, a flash, non macro lens and a fairly decent snapshot camera set to "auto".

This was the result and I'm pretty happy with that!
