a sad day

I had planned to blip delilah today,
but we have just had the very sad news that a friend of ours passed away this morning.

He was a bloody lovely bloke, who had fought for Many years against cancer of the spine.
he was 52.

Steve & i were newly weds when steves ship was on deployment, and i was able to go meet the ship in Mombassa, and spent two weeks on holiday with steve.
It was the first time i had flown and was the most amazing adventure!
We had an awesome, newly opened hotel..
Pete and a few others shared a room in the same hotel, and we spent many hours together with pete and a few others, just having a great laugh..
He Always had a wicked sense of humour, and was more than willing to point out that at every availability ~ steve & i were nipping off to be alone~together! Hey.. we were newly weds and the ship had been away 4and a half very long months!

The world has lost a wonderful man, who will stay in My memory forever..
