Cricket

England are trying hard to defeat Sri Lanka in the Second Test. The County Championship has begun. But there was no play today at Outlane Cricket Club, West Yorkshire.

Many times I have passed, and been fascinated by, this cricket club, high on a rocky plateau, right next to the M62, near Junction 24. Today, after dropping my parents off at their place in Huddersfield, I went to find my way to the Club. A slow walk around the deserted ground produced this blip shot and a few others, including this one of the detail on the changing rooms.

On the same detour, I passed another long admired landmark, a derelict factory on a ridge about a mile from the cricket club. A few shots from there, mostly of views through broken windows can be seen here.
