The Long Way Round

We started our return journey early.

I broke the news to Husband#1 that I'd bought something on ebay last night while he was napping putting the children to sleep that we'd need to collect on the way home.

We went to Crealy Park on our "free" return visit determined to recoup some of the extortionate entry cost. The size of the queue on the door at 10am made us drive at pace straight out of the car park. Plan B was activated.

After a long drive staring in horror at the gridlocked M5 southbound (and a detour to Gordano services which had parking wardens it was that busy) we ended up at some National Trust place for a picnic in the car park.

Then onto Newbury to collect my shopping.

Then onto this place to show the children where we got married. Not everyone gets married on an industrial estate in a manor house, you know.

Then finally home.

Phew. Underfloor heating and roaring fires a go go.
