As Easter weekend has arrived, I decided to make Hot Cross Buns for the first time ever. Hubby loves them and often buys them from the super-market. I don't like fruit in cakes/buns so have never had one. I started making them this afternoon, not realising that the recipe required three lots of one hour proves! So they finally came out the oven about a half hour ago and were glazed with some apricot jam. Hubby and his sister have given them a seal of approval eating a couple while they were still warm with some lurpak! I had kept a little of the mix aside and not mixed the fruit in so I had my first ever hot cross bun (minus the fruit) and loved it! The recipe was Paul Hollywood's from the Good Food magazine. I need to work more on my presentation!
