Sad day.

Thanks to one extremely irresponsible dog owner we can no longer let our dogs off lead to run freely in the surrounding hills, we can no longer walk freely across these fields -footpath only!
Why?
The flock of sheep where stampeded down the hill, one was taken out, attacked and killed by a dog that was away from it's owner !
The owner being one who has moved into the countryside and refuses to abide by any of the rules -arrogant, ignorant T***-
I know who it is, my friend was witness on Wednesday morning to the attack but could do nothing.
He is distraught, I have never seen him in such a state.
I am incandescent with rage.
Rage that this has happened.
Rage that the dog owner knows and has done nothing*.. it was an attack to the throat, there must have been sufficient blood on the dog to cause alarm.
Rage that this farmer -also a friend- has had his generosity abused, this is not *right to roam* yet he has turned a blind eye to all the dog walkers tramping his fields.

*any dog of mine would be underground by now!

The police are involved so I cannot name and shame....
When I can, I will !

Not all bad tho'
Himself has fixed the very smelly boiler, Pock Boilers** have been out three times to fix it, on each occasion supposedly fixing a different thing and left it as bad as it was ..no surprise we haven't paid them !
A thorough strip down, clean out and fix the seals that weren't sealing -is that a word?
Hey Presto...no bad smells, all running smoothly.
