a stirling day

Much better day... We headed over and visited Stirling palace... heaps more impressive than Edinburgh castle, and some really good interpretation, including costumed guides. Lots of interactive stuff, nice exhibition about the carving and recreation of the stirling heads and a dress up area

we also popped into the Darnley Coffee House for afternoon tea... Lovely place, run by a great chap who was also responsible for the cake at Shandonner's birthday the other week... I very much approved of my scones, which came with plentiful jam and cream and that's saying something, as I can be quite a fussy madam... So make sure you drop in, if you're over that way
