Good Friday

I visited my little friend Eliza yesterday. She'd been to an event for children in a local town and had made a "stained glass window" with black paper and tissue paper making the shape of a coloured cross. Very proudly she informed me that the piece was to remind us of two things: crosses and hot cross buns.

So today, having spent some time in church being reminded of the Cross and the mysteries therein, I experimented with the mysteries of yeast and baked hot cross buns.

Seemed appropriate.
