Grain silos and Road trains

We are spending time in Albany in the south of Western Australia with some very old ( long standing and aged ) friends.

Today we went into the main town to the Easter Sea food festival.

I took an hour off to walk along the main port precinct. It was so good , I saw the loading areas for mineral sands , had a private tour of the wood chipping plant and walked through the massive grain silos holding grain from the south of Western Australia for overseas shipment.

This photos shows part of the silo complex as well as a few of the road trains that are used the truch grain from regional areas to the Port of Albany.

It was a great morning finished off with white wine whiskey and seafood at a regional seafood fair.

Now for an afternoon nap before wine and cheese on the beach to celebrate the full moon!!!
