Give Peace a Chance

Amsterdam Hilton, 7th floor (taken from the street below). This is where John Lennon and Yoko Ono held their Bed-in for Peace in 1969, immortalized in the song about their honeymoon --"The Ballad of John and Yoko":

Drove from Paris to the Amsterdam Hilton,
Talking in our beds for a week.
The newspaper said, "Say what you doing in bed?"
I said, "We're only trying to get us some peace".

I was able to go inside there in 2009, on the 40th anniversary -- They've preserved it largely as it was, with some artistic additions (overseen by Yoko). If you look closely at the two windows to the side, you can see sketches by John.
