Kaka

The Kapiti kaka to be precise.
Day two of our Easter adventure. Day two of clear blue skies.

Kapiti island is a nature reserve off the south west coast of the north island. The birdsong is amazing, the views of the mainland mountains breathtaking and the kaka in their russet glory.........well, they're just cheeky.

They stalk your lunch and watch you with intelligent eyes. Love them.
