Fancy meeting you here?
We must have a good environment for Preying Mantis's, because we quite often find them on plants or trees around the house and in fact just this year, we saw three baby mantis's. I usually grab them and show the kids so they can learn about nature and insects, but because Miss Z was in bed ready for sleep, I took it into her. She loves bugs and most animals so she was quite excited to "play" with it (*no bugs were hurt during the "playing" stage) but before long it flew away. Yes Preying Mantis's can fly. Do you think we could find it, well no we couldn't so we left the insect to bunk down in our house overnight. The next morning, we found it here on the mirror in the kids bathroom, looking at itself. So after a shot, it was released back onto one of our plants ready for another adventure.
