Honoring the Light
Some may scoff, but I am saddened by the death of Thomas Kinkade. I know there are those who say what he created was not art, because he made it accessible to the masses, but I ask why can't this be art. His painting of life always touched me, warmed my soul, and told me stories--simple stories of real people. His paintings created emotions in me. Isn't that the purpose of art? I tried to take a picture of light last night, in honor of his artistry.
