Greenwich Park Scavenger
After a quiet morning at home, Mum and I both decided we needed some fresh air and headed off to Greenwich Park to see what all the fuss was about re closures for the olymptics. Looking down from the observatory toward the Queen's House there is currenly little evidence of the equestrian site aside from railings, but we could see that some of the main routes across this area would be blocked, which is why local users are upset.
The view along the Thames at that point is always dramatic, and each year it seems yet another building joins the skyline, which includes Canary Wharf, Cutty Sark, The Gerkin, and St Paul's - this year's feature being the Shard.
However, despite all this photographic opportunity, my eye was drawn to this cheeky scavenger emerging from a rubbish bin. He and his friend's were enjoying the left-over lunches, totally ignoring the sea of camera's and "oohs" and "ahs" directed toward them
