Donkey Ride!

We went to the seaside today, on the train. We had lunch outside next to the beach - Mum and Dad had fish n' chips and I had sausage and chips. Then I got to have my first ever donkey ride! The donkey was called Cracker and he was very gentle. I had such fun! Then I had a go on the trampolines, but after a couple of bounces I announced, "that's enough". I saw a bouncy castle and wanted to go on it. Mum knew I wouldn't. but Dad let me try. Right enough, I wouldn't get on it properly. But the man let me have a go on the swings instead. Then we visited the Grand Pier. We got a little train along it (it didn't have tracks!) and went into the pavilion at the end. So many people and so much to do, I was absolutely amazed! I played a game of bashing gophers and had a go on a Hello Kitty ride. But I didn't get to go on any of the really exciting stuff. (It was my idea of absolute hell, and the point at which the novelty of being at the seaside wore off completely!)

After Mum and Dad dragged me away from the shows, we had freshly made doughnuts on the pier and then carried on walking along the promenade. Eventually we came to some rocks, and Mum and I clamboured over them for a while looking in the rock pools. We didn't see any crabs, but we did see little trails in the rocks that Mum said were made by worms back when the rock was still sand.

We got the train back to Bristol and had some refreshments and relaxed for a bit. Then we came back to Broad Quay and I ran about outsisde @bristol for a while. It's a massive big space with lots of exciting things - water features, the planetarium, statues, lights in the ground, different coloured tiles that you can play jumping games on, loads of things! We walked past the aquarium - that's where we going tomorrow.
