The island of Montreal is mostly an urban planning disaster - there isn't a single neighbourhood that was planned with durable development or the presence of humans in mind.

This wasteland, a short stroll from where we live, is a typical example: a forest of billboards along an urban highway that cuts off the neighbourhood from the river and only serves suburbanites who take this road to drive to their downtown offices. They usually occupy an enormous near-stationary vehicle, by themselves.

I wonder how that poor tree feels...
