Unknown plant

I was given this plant (well plants, and they are growing from bulbs) for my birthday, and I don't know what it is. Also, as it was at my party, I don't know who it was from!

I do recognise the leaves, but haven't a clue what it is. Perhaps someone will know and tell me.

Rather sad today as Nigel's step-father died today in the hospice. He had motor neurone disease, and was 84. He was admitted to the hospice yesterday as he had become unconcious. If there is anywhere to spend your last couple of days, he was in the best place. As you enter the grounds it is like going into another world, very peaceful and beautiful, and the staff are very kind and caring.

I will now try and backblip my photo from yesterday, and I didn't manage to get it on yesterday, but not from lack of trying.
