Walton Bridge
This is the temporary Bailey bridge erected by the Army in 1953 in Walton as a result of WW2 bombs nearby. The important thing is that it was temporary and it is still there today 59 years later!
It is about to disappear however and hence the shambles in the foreground.
It just shows how responsive the councils and planners are in England
