Why do I only ever watch films on TV (or now, TV shows on my iPad - I do that, because I can, mostly) that I already have the DVDs for?

Terrestrial TV has had it's best Bank Holiday in terms of films that I can remember for a long time! Though belting out the Mary Poppins tunes is quite difficult with a sore throat & cough.
