The Twist

Oh I must drive you around the twist
With how my thoughts switch and turn
But even after the opportunities missed
I never really do seem to learn

I get myself into such a raging fret
And imagine all that might have happened
Then throw myself into a merry pet
When my actions I have to defend

That I have a problem I'm well aware
And it often makes me seem less fun
But you see, for you, I do so care
And desperate for our us to go on

So please forgive this crazy fool
And, from saying good bye, please resist
Even though as a general rule
I must drive you around the twist
