Needs must

Today we woke to a grey and wet one.
My first thought was 'blitz the house'.
Strangely enough my daughter then proclaimed she fancied having a cleaning and tidying day! And could she clean the toilet!!!!!!!
She did clean the toilet, and the bath, and dust and polish a chair - super star.
The youngest of our brood didn't have the same enthusiasm and was only content right at the end of the day playing with torches while lying under our bed.
He wouldn't even come out for tea!
Mr B said it was like trying to pull a miner out of a chilean mine.
