The Duck Race

Although both hubbie & I were off work today, with it being Easter Monday, we still put Ethan in nursery so we could get things done around the house. (It's a good job we were off though as Ethan decided to have a lie in till 8am, which he wouldn't normally be able to do on a working Monday).

We didn't get as much done as we hoped, as we spent much of the morning, phoning travel agents, trying to haggle a good price for a holiday. We've been invited to a wedding in Mexico in November so have been working out dates / airlines etc. Finally got that booked so am very excited, although also rather aprehensive about how Ethan will cope with the flight!

We picked Ethan up early from nursery though and took him to Almond Valley Heritage Centre for a wee bit. He loved watching the duck race and got so excited when the ducks appeared round the corner of the stream from where we were standing. The first duck past the line was number 221 .... we were number 222 ... so close! He joined in with all the clapping too even though I'm sure he didn't quite know why he was clapping!

We then went to the carvery at Bathgate for dinner, back home via the playpark and now lots more for me to do before bed tonight.
