Moss and leaves

The Stockley Trail passes through an old mining area near Glapwell. The ground is shaly, and a very distinctive variety of vegetation is growing in the area. In some patches mosses and lichens are prolific.

The bank holiday gave opportunity for a damp walk with light rain most of the time (welcome rain). It turned into an impressive downpour before I got back home......
