inspired by family memories
The garden has had a good soaking today. I think the waterbut will be full again, too. Time for another indoor blip.
This teacosy brings back happy childhood memories. Mum won it in a village raffle about 65 years ago. It's stitched from scraps of leather and lined with an old blanket. I love the way the doorbell and the doorknob have been made from a press stud.
For many years, it covered the teapot on the corner of our teatable, next to my allotted place. When Mum was in a silly mood, she would take it off the teapot and pop it on my head. It was lovely and warm, and smelt of tea and blankets. It's redundant now, but I have found a place for it on the kitchen shelf behind the coffee pots.
