Taliesin West

We are in Phoenix, AZ for the marathon coming up on Sunday. The highlight of the day (and the trip, really) was our visit to Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin West. We went on an amazing tour of the buildings and the grounds and I enjoyed every bit of it. Beautiful weather and scenery. I took hundreds of photos.

At night, we visited my old friend Shasta who I haven't seen in a long time. We went to dinner and spent a short amount of time seeing her two little girls as well. It was very nice to catch up - she's one of those people with whom you can just pick right up as if not a day has gone by. She even treated me to some of our old favorite - L.A. Burdick's chocolate.

It was a good day.
