Hey Johnnie Cope are ye sleeping yet?

THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE HIGHLANDER!!, although there were several of them today on Edinburgh's Royal Mile (of which this fine chap was one), celebrating the Battle of Prestonpans (1745), where Bonnie Prince Charlie and his band of Highlanders engaged the Royalist troops of George 11 south east of Edinburgh at Prestonpans led by General Sir John Cope (the troops being brought in from Inverness by boat to Dunbar).
The Highlanders won a handsome victory and continued to march to Derby, "Johnnie Cope" became a figure of fun, although he did become very rich as he won a £10000 wager that Charlie would rout another Government army (he did at Falkirk).
