This beautiful magnolia is an inspiring sight, with lovely waxy pale pink blooms reaching heavenward.
It is a huge specimen, which is surprising, because it is growing at the end of someone's small backyard. It brings a welcome glow of beauty to a very stone built area of terraced houses.
The typical April weather has meant we have a cycle of sunshine, wind and rain.
I am hopeful to capture a rainbow at some stage, but for now Maria and me are watching Whistle down the Wind, set in Downham, Lancashire, with one of our fav. stars, the young and effervescent Hayley Mills.
