and the time is .....

putting my f.i.l. to bed last night, I forgot about his legs so that when we moved him further up in bed, his legs rubbed against the mattress and this made him wince.
I apologised and said it was a bit hamfisted of me.
He replied "Yes it was!".
These are the most words he has spoken in ages - it's amazing how just 3 words can lift your spirits.
