Jónas Hallgrímsson

Jonas (1807 - 1845) was Iceland's greatest poet and a very clever geologist.
One of his poems is here in English.
This statue is by Einar Jónsson and is now in Hljómskálagarður in Reykjavik, see Location.

Valdimar Leifsson, a friend and colleague, made a documentary about Jonas in 2007, 200 years from his birth and asked me to assist him by making the surroundings (backgrounds) and Green Screen for some scenes.
They turned out to be 54 FX shots and a lot of Green Screen of which I have put one on this web so you can see the work behind it.
