The snow's all Scone

Unforecasted blizzard this morning required some will power to get out of the house and a wee day trip. Mind you I'm not sure we'd have coped as a family stuck inside all day. Undeterred, we drove north to Scone Palace for (I'm ashamed to admit), our first visit.

The rain stopped on arrival and we enjoyed the grounds. Some of the trees in the Pinetum are fine specimens. Inside the Palace we met the Countess of Mansfield, lovely lady.

This is the chapel on Moot Hill where the Scottish kings were crowned. Until 1651.
