Nourishment
Maximum Nourishment
I've almost got all the work done required for this last minute update, centred around preparation for the Olympic Games in London this summer. It's just about come together to meet tonight's deadline. I'm hoping that by this time tomorrow all will have bedded down nicely and I can relax a little. This evening, though, I will be working late and cursing not being able to get out to fully enjoy the fantastical cloudscapes that I can see from my window right now and have been witnessing all day.
I shouldn't moan too much because I was able to catch some fabulous photographic conditions on the moor first thing this morning. Dramatic clouds. Bright sunshine and sharp showers. This April looks set to be a more typical fair than we've experienced the last few years and I think I'm going to enjoy it from the photographer's perspective.
I've received some wonderfully supportive comments this last few days. Thank you to all those people I've been neglecting here who continue to encourage me (especially all those who conferred hearts for yesterday's shot). Kendall talked about my images being nourishing, and I'm certainly discovering that the process of finding these images is nourishing me in a much needed way at the moment. It seems that blipping represents the most amazing positive feedback loop. I've been trying to ride on that energy today as I've started to flag a bit under the pressure at work.
No excuses for returning to a familiar subject today. These favourite sycamores are now flecked with green and coming rapidly into leaf. The sun came out momentarily and bathed them in light just as I was in the right place. A few minutes later and we were both bathed in rain! It seems that the harder my day, and the more nourishment I need, the more I am blessed with opportunities for a good blip. This shot nourished me this morning and has sustained me through a long and difficult day. I hope it nourishes you in turn! Cheers guys!!
