All Aboard!

Our neighbour had tickets for an evening cruise on the Gulden Leeuw but wasn't able to go, so gave us the tickets instead! It is a Dutch tall ship, used as a training vessel, complete with three masts. It was terrific, a three hour sail and motor around Scapa Flow, complete with buffet, live music, free drinks and a chance to haul on ropes! An excellent evening!

There wasn't much wind, hardly a breeze at all, but we did have all the sails up and the engine turned off for a while. In the dark, with all the stars out, seeing the lights of Stromness in the distance and the sails above us, it was magical. A wonderful night.

And the buffet was excellent too!
