As one door closes...

Another opens.
We haven't, by any manner of means, enough land to even pretend to be anywhere close to self-sufficient. I freely admit to not being the most clever of planners, but I got this one right.
Some weeks ago the Allotment bloke who's on Radio 2 with Jeremy Vine at lunchtime on Fridays announced that his Purple Sprouting Broccoli was ready for harvest. Ours reached this stage over Easter weekend while we, mostly, lurked indoors. Just as the curly Kale started to flower and be pulled up to shred and add to the compost.

I would say I'll have to blanche and freeze some.
