And lo - it rises again

The sneaky old oxalis is at it again.
Oxalis regnellii 'Atropurpurea' - the Purple leaf oxalis - to be more accurate.
Several years ago, I truly had thought I'd killed it. A dried husk of grim compost, cowering in it's plastic pot. As is my way, I gave it many benefits of several doubts - watering, not watering.. nada - eventually forgetting it and leaving the pot, luckily still intact, on a windowsill.
Most marvellously it sprang into life again - resolute little blighter. Now I am wise to it's opossum tactics - though crediting a wood sorrel bulb with thanatosis is as obtuse as dressing kittens in waistcoats.. Is there a word akin to anthropomorphic for such cases? However - it fools me not as it hibernates for long periods, to spring into it's rich long season of beautiful foliage, studded with pink jewels of flowers. Spring is definitely here!
