Starting-up

Unit EC 7 producing some NOX (Nitrogen-oxide).
But: this is normal during start-up; for a stable flame we have different so-called "burner modes". At the end, when we are running at minimum load after starting-up, we are in a steady premix mode and at that time our emission is almost the lowest in the world!
But: I must admit, this looks dirty, but it's only for a short while, for half an hour at the most.
Our environmental license is based on this type of operation.

So: quite odd for us after a period of standstill: all units are running today!
