Cake of the day

Recently, whilst at the Oxfam shop the conversation turned to cake,along the lines of "when are you going to bring another lemon drizzle cake in?" Then we talked about favourite cakes and someone mentioned the friendship cake. I had not heard of these for a very long time but they had always been popular at our house. The following week I had a new cake mix and instructions. Today I made the cake and, as you can see, it has already been started. It has been declared "quite good" by my husband so now I am thinking about variations to the recipe. I am thinking of earl grey tea and orange zest, similar to the hotcross buns that we had at Easter.
