Snowy Sheep

We awoke to discover our tour of weird weather had moved on to snow! Not quite what we expected when only last week everyone was sunning themselves in gorgeous warmth.

We went for a walk in the still falling snow and tried to come back on the mountain road but met a sudden pile of snow all over the road (and this wasn't even it's highest point) so had to turn back. The sheep and their little lambs were all huddled under the slight shelter of the trees by the road and watched us as we went by.

We spent the rest of the day by the fire toasting our toes and melting marshmallows, mmmm.
