Rain Rain go away

It's rained on and off here all day which is miserable but what's made it worse is waiting for the electric people to manage to wire up our house.

We live in a very old house with stone walls that are a foot thick. Being an old house in an old village we had overhead electricity cables serving our house until the electric people decided that they were going to lay cables underground for about 20 houses and dig up our tiny lanes for the last 4 weeks.
They came to install us today and discovered that they didn't have a drill bit long enough to go through the wall, so it took them 4 hours to go and buy one.

I was quite ranty by the end of it and had almost decided to tell them to bog off but I am fed up of not being able to park near the house and such goings on.

After all that angst, I am going to bed with my last caramel egg.
