The Vanoise Express

This magnificent feat of engineering is the Vanoise Express. Each of the 2 cars has a capacity of 200 people across its 2 levels, the span between the 2 stations is 1800 meters it it travels 380 meters above the valley floor. Quite incredible really. It links the resorts of La Plagne (where we were) with the neighbouring resort of Les Arcs. Together the two resorts form the area that the French, in their infinite wisdom, have decided to call 'Paradiski'. Tacky isn't it...
