Papa Quail on the Lookout

I spied this quail on my back fence, and wondered if he would sit there long enough for me to grab my camera?!? Sure enough, he obliged by sitting there for probably 15 minutes while I took pictures from many angles. He finally flew off when Mama Quail was done eating the bugs in my garden! They are such pretty birds. There are a lot around my neighborhood, and it is so fun to see the wee babies running behind their parents.
