Amber Road
Whilst at work today, as morning tea time approached, so did a desire for a fabulous cup of cappucino from the cafe around the corner.
I took myself off for a walk around to Amber Road, passing by the purple building, camera in hand.
For a country town industrial area, this building, as you can see, is quite destinctive, with it's geometrical shaped façade, behind which the front section of the building is made from corregated iron. The out back work area was built using cement slab walls. The upstairs, by comparrson, is rather boring, with plain gyprock walls, although the stairs and hand railings are also made from metal.
How do I have such an indepth knowledge of this building? Some years ago this was where I went to work each day, from the time just after the building was constructed in mid 2000, up until late 2007.
And the cappucino at the cafe around the corner was great back then too!
