The Killing Fields, Cambodia

The Khmer Rouge, under the leadership of Pol Pot, completely destroyed Cambodia in the late 1970's. The regime murdered about 2 million of their own people and dumped their bodies in mass graves, now known as the Killing Fields. In the past 40 years Cambodia has started to come to terms with its past and is trying to build a brighter future.
