wind the bobbin up

OK WHEN DID THEY MAKE THE EYE OF THE NEEDLE SMALLER ...or could it be me ??
frustrating day of sewing ,but nearly finished one cushion cover using fabric that I found
in Bahrain. It will take an age to use all the pieces I found but think I may have the time during the next posting...
