The Devils Door
St Mary the Virgin, Pateley Bridge,Yorkshire.Built in 1320, in the Reign of Edward the 1st.
Closed in 1826 when it became too small for its congregation.
This is the Devils door, the North door ,where the Devil fled when a child was brought in the church for baptism.
