Marsh marigolds

I went for a walk in the woods today to check out the bluebells, and was more impressed by the marsh marigolds. I think the bluebells aren't quite at their best yet. I'll be checking regularly now.
I continued my walk along the back of the river then up to Denton and Fairy Dell. I was going to have a look at the old milestone on Middleton moor, but the weather looked very threatening and I decided to head for home. Rain started to fall as I returned through the woods, but I'm not complaining as my allotment needs it!
