Dorset Intermediate Cup Final

Went over to The Avenue tonight, the home of Dorchester Town FC, to watch the Lyme 1st team take on Milborne Sports.

It was a game full of drama, but, similarly to Tuesday, I found it really hard to get any decent images of the game under the floodlights. This is one of the better ones of my good mate Lainger attempting a diving header, which unfortunately was saved.

I have to say Lyme were robbed tonight, they played most of the game with 10 men no thanks to a rather harsh refereeing decision, and despite nicking an equaliser to make it 2-2 in the last minute, went down 4-2 after extra time. That's not a fair reflection of the game, but they can hold their heads high about the way they played and they never gave up, giving absolutely everything right until the final whistle. Unlucky lads.
