The Shetland Times

Our weekly paper The Shetland Times was established in 1872 and as far as I know has been produced every week since then. The headlines on this copy will remain of great historic interest to the isles as there has been much heated debate about the introduction of wind turbines and now gas being brought to Shetland too.
I have photographed the newspaper on a pure wool Shetland shawl I have almost finished knitting. Every colour used is a natural colour found in Shetland sheep, of which there are many variations.
